after seeing the 'illustration' posted by SG098 I had to go search for the actual copy on the JWorg site because I couldn't believe that picture was real. To me that picture speaks of 'utter evil', everyone there hugging and laughing and 'being nice' to each other, while a person stands there in the corner completely alone, totally ignored. I mean, doesn't that strike you as just 'a tiny bit insensitive'?

'Look at us, we're all so loving to each other, but YOU stay there, you're not included in this', we're so loving, that's why we're ignoring you.... Apologies SG098, I actually doubted the picture, because on seeing it I thought, that sh*t cant be f***ing real, it's just too cruel, it must be a photoshop, but no, it's bloody real, I downloaded the magazine and lo and behold there's the picture... the borg has a totally twisted view of love, call it what it really is, hate, manipulation, bullying, passive aggressive control, ... the whole flipping congregation sending one 'weak' person to coventry, I'm gobsmacked... How I never saw this when I was still in, I don't know

ok... these guys piss me off, unfortunately, if you're into watching lots of apostate vids on youtube, this type of reaction is far more common than one would think; One thing I love about the youtuber JwFairytale, is he actually makes videos, answering, or mocking these abusive people, or analyzing their ridiculous objections to his video content, hilarious to watch.

ok, this must be a JW giving advice, because the whole of the rest of the entire population of the ENTIRE EARTH would usually say, 'get out and HAVE FUN man', but no, 'get out and repent' this has to be a JW speaking ... I don't even know what 'get out and repent' even means anyway..

i wanted to send you a note of "thanks" on this special day.. why is this day special, you may ask?

one year ago today, you, tony, woke me up to the fact that the governing body could not have jehovah's blessing or direction.. last year, on november 8th & 9th, 2014, the united states branch visit was broadcast to over 1,000,000 jehovah's witnesses across the country.. as i sat at the kingdom hall listening to the "historic occasion," i was ignoring certain doubts that had surfaced in the few months prior.

Hang on a minute, this whole 'asking the sisters if tight pants are attractive on brothers', i.e. the metrosexual look.

He said he asked 'sister after sister' if they found that look APPEALING, ATTRACTIVE on a brother, and they 'apparently' said 'NO'...

So isn't he suggesting that brothers should be dressing in a way that single sisters find 'attractive' 'appealing', huh?

I don't ever remember seeing that counsel in the from the Borganisation, Imagine that, 'now brothers, you will only be allowed to go out in field service and have privileges if you dress in a way that the sisters find ATTRACTIVE and APPEALING'... how would that go down.... Great use of logic AM3

It's things like this that once I started to 'think' about what's in the bible and taught by the dubs, I started thinking WTF??

So god creates free will, but supplied a conscience so that people could distinguish between right and wrong... to me that says, god KNEW that free will could potentially end in a total fuckup with man and woman making the WRONG decisions.... the system was not fool proof, and seems like a design fault

also if god 'GAVE them a guide, i.e. a CONSCIENCE', did they really have any free will? because surely the conscience was tailored by him, so any reaction they had to good or bad, how could it have been their own? was it not a reaction created by the conscience put into them.... they were never allowed to think for themselves in the first place so how is that free will?

and then why the heck did god create an existence where 'evil', bad, sin etc existed, only then having to put a conscience into humans to help them avoid that course? huh? why not just avoid the whole sin issue in the first place and design a fool proof system???? WTF... it's almost like he did it on purpose... didn't he trust his own work? WTF???

Yep I've only been here a few months but run into the odd abbreviation that I can't understand, was wondering if there was a glossary or something.... you'll eventually catch on.

Not for Believers - could be hard to swallow

well now that i'm a confirmed apostate (a couple of the forum posters confirmed this today), gosh hearing myself say that is a bit frightening.... how the hell did i get to this place, well thanks to anonymity, my 'still in' family don't know this yet... .

after a whole day of watching various people describe their differences with creationist ideas, i'm finally watching this one.... it's tongue in cheek and is hilarious to watch....(this is not meant to mock people's belief in god as such, but more to do with how creationist speculation seems to go against openly available data).

i noticed that some of the arguments made by kent hovind, a creationist evangelist, smells very much like stuff i learned in 'life how did it get here by evolution or creation', and in other publications trying to explain why some phenomena in the solar system etc points to the precision in the universe = there must have been a divine hand... i assume he didn't get the information from jw's, so i wonder who jw's were getting their info from.... well thanks to sites like jwfacts, it's as clear as day anyway please don't watch if you're not ready to take in the copious amounts of data expressed to counter creationist claims... i'm only 20 minutes in and it's pretty devastating to creationist argument, the author of the video encourages each watcher to go do the math themselves where possible, stating even a high school education will give you enough tools to check out the figures and see if they add up.... (oops, that might be a problem for your die hard jw).

Azor: yeah I can see that people who are openly atheist, or even agnostic, or don't have an opinion could be open to being treated as 'weird' by believers. I don't think the two different ways of thinking can ever meet on peaceful ground.

sorry, forgot to say it's ridiculously long, might take several sittings... and of course I guess lots of you have already done your research, but it is a fun tongue in cheek effort though, I couldn't stop laughing...
